This municipality finds sector placed in centrooccidental of the Community of Albarracín, to 60 km from provincial capital and to 1.386m of altitude.
It possesses a built-up area of 170 inhabitants. The above mentioned nucleus is placed along with the rió that takes his name and that in Tramacastilla delivers his waters to the rió Guadalaviar.
The municipal Walnut tree term is in the Iberian System, to the east of the Province of Teruel, for the highway A-1512 and to 58 Km from the Capital; North area of the Universal Mounts, denomination that comes to him from the use that they were doing, between Albarracín and his villages, from the Middle Age (1300, Universitalis aldearun Albarracín), and inside these, the Massif of the Swamp, it takes the name for the numerous existing swamps in saying massive (Swamp, it is an abundant swampy area in rabble and lawn cutlery).
